Archies Limited has announced the launch of 'Archies Express', a new retail format aimed at connecting with style-conscious consumers, particularly millennials and Gen Z. This strategic expansion plans for 20 new Archies Express stores to be opened across India in the current financial year (FY26). The new format will focus on lifestyle accessories, trendy collectibles, stationery, and everyday expression-led products, reflecting changing consumer preferences for personalization and design-led purchases. Varun Moolchandani and Hanisha Gandhi, Executive Directors, stated that Archies Express is designed to be faster, more accessible, and relevant, while retaining the brand's core warmth and nostalgia. The first Archies Express store is scheduled to open at Unity One Elegante Mall, Netaji Subhash Place. The stores will feature a modern, minimalist, and vibrant design, with a curated product mix emphasizing fast-moving categories like contemporary gifting essentials, lifestyle accessories, stationery, soft toys, chocolates, fragrances, and seasonal collections. Archies believes in the enduring power of offline retail and aims to revive the joy of browsing and discovery through these compact, experience-led stores, tailored for a dynamic retail environment. The expansion strategy will focus on a balanced mix of metros and Tier 2 cities, with an emphasis on mall-based formats. Archies Express is intended to complement existing stores, strengthening the overall retail presence. This new retail identity follows a cost-efficient, scalable model with lower capital expenditure per store, enabling faster rollouts and quicker breakeven. This approach aligns with Archies' long-term growth strategy focused on optimized operations, efficient inventory planning, and strong unit-level economics.
