BEML Limited announced that its Board of Directors, in a meeting held on February 6, 2026, approved an estimated investment of approximately ₹1,500 crore for the establishment of a 'Greenfield Rail Manufacturing facility – BRAHMA'. The new facility will be located at Umariya, near Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The project is planned to be financed through long-term debt and is expected to be completed in a phased manner over five years. The primary rationale behind this significant investment is to enhance BEML's manufacturing capabilities. The company secretary and compliance officer, Urmi Chaudhury, communicated this disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
