Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has entered into a significant Contract Agreement with M/s Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals Free Zone Enterprise, Nigeria. The agreement, signed on June 2, 2026, is for the Design, Manufacturing, Supply, and Supervision of Erection & Commissioning of 8 Gas Turbine Generator Packages. These packages are intended for Dangote's Petroleum Refinery and Polypropylene Plant located in the Dangote Industries Free Zone, Nigeria. The contract is with an international entity and is part of an international tender. The scope of work includes design, manufacturing, supply up to Mumbai Port, supervision of erection and commissioning, and performance guarantee tests, excluding civil work. The total consideration for this contract is estimated to be between ₹2000 to ₹2500 Crores. The execution period for this project is stipulated to be within 26 months from the contract's start or effective date. BHEL has confirmed that neither the promoter, promoter group, nor group companies have any interest in the awarding entity, and the contract does not fall under related party transactions.
