Canara Bank has designated Shri. Sujit Kumar Sahoo, Chief General Manager of the Compliance & RBS Wing, as the Interim Group Chief Compliance Officer (GCCO) of the bank. This designation is effective from June 29, 2026, as per an order dated July 8, 2026. Shri. Sujit Kumar Sahoo brings over 29 years of extensive experience in the banking sector. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a diploma in Treasury, Investment and Risk Management. Additionally, he is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. His career includes experience at various levels, from branch operations to head office functions, across eight states and diverse geographical locations ranging from rural to metropolitan areas. He has also held administrative roles, heading the Ranch Circle Office and three Regional Offices in Madurai, Chennai, and Sambalpur. Currently, he leads the Compliance & RBS Wing at the bank's Head Office in Bengaluru.
