Eicher Motors Limited has announced its sales volume for February 2026, reporting a total of 1,00,905 motorcycles sold. This represents an 11% growth compared to the same period last year when 90,670 motorcycles were sold. Models with engine capacity up to 350cc saw a 16% increase in sales, with 89,844 units sold in February 2026, up from 77,775 units in February 2025. Sales for models with engine capacity exceeding 350cc decreased by 14%, with 11,061 units sold compared to 12,895 units in the prior year. International business sales saw a slight decrease of 2%, with 9,657 units sold in February 2026. For the year-to-date period (April 2025 to February 2026), total sales grew by 24% to 11,26,325 units, compared to 9,08,879 units in the same period last year. Domestic sales for this period increased by 24% to 10,06,937 units, while exports grew by 27% to 1,19,388 units. In a significant development, Royal Enfield's Board has approved a capacity expansion plan to increase its annual production capability to 20 lakh units from the current 14.6 lakh units. This expansion, involving a brownfield investment of ₹958 crore at the Cheyyar manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu, is expected to be completed over the next 18 months. B. Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors Ltd. and CEO of Royal Enfield, expressed optimism about future growth and the strategic importance of this capacity addition to serve growing demand. The company also highlighted several brand and business updates, including the successful conclusion of the Desert Cruise Ride 2026 in Rajasthan, the 'HunterHood' event in Shillong, and the 'Best Naked Bike' award for the Bear 650 at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2026. Royal Enfield also opened its first apparel store in Russia, marking its first international store outside India.
