Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has announced the appointment of Shri Kulveer Singh Yadav as a part-time Official (Government Nominee) Director on its Board. This appointment, effective from May 7, 2026 (the date of DIN allotment), is in accordance with Section 161(3) of the Companies Act, 2013, and other applicable regulations. Shri Yadav, a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, replaces Shri Shakil Alam, EA, Ministry of Mines. The Board of Directors of HCL approved this appointment via a resolution by circulation. Shri Yadav is not related to any existing Board Members or Key Managerial Personnel of the company or their relatives. He is also not debarred from holding a Director's office by any SEBI order or other regulatory authority. He is a senior officer from the 2002-batch Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) and brings extensive experience in general management, defense manufacturing, production, and policy implementation, including his role in the indigenous development of the Dhanush 155mm/45-calibre Howitzer. His expertise in industrial operations, public sector governance, and strategic project execution will be valuable to HCL's Board.
