Infosys Limited has announced a strategic collaboration with Cognition, the creators of Devin, the first AI software engineer. This partnership aims to accelerate the AI value journey for global enterprises by integrating Devin's capabilities with Infosys Topaz FabricTM, a multi-layer AI fabric that unifies infrastructure, models, data, applications, and workflows. The collaboration will deploy Devin across Infosys' internal engineering ecosystem and client engagements worldwide. Infosys has been using Devin for the past six months, observing significant improvements in engineering quality and efficiency. The integration is expected to help enterprises achieve faster time-to-market, enhance developer productivity, and reduce modernization timelines. Infosys Topaz Fabric and Devin will automate brownfield engineering, tech debt reduction, and modernization efforts. They will also create virtual engineers to address complex production and maintenance challenges. To ensure secure, enterprise-grade adoption, both companies will jointly develop industry-specific solutions, AI-native modernization blueprints, and scalable engineering frameworks, supported by co-innovation labs and enablement programs. The Infosys Financial Services practice is already leveraging Devin to transform engineering delivery in banking, payments, capital markets, insurance, and wealth management. Scott Wu, Founder & CEO of Cognition, expressed excitement about bringing autonomous AI engineering to complex enterprises, complementing Infosys' Exponential Engineering offering. Salil Parekh, CEO & MD of Infosys, stated that this collaboration marks a significant step in accelerating AI value realization for global enterprises by combining Cognition's expertise with Infosys' domain and delivery capabilities.
