Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has announced changes in its board of directors. Shri Sunil Kumar Ranjan, DDG (C & A), DoT, and Shri Alok Shukla, Advisor, DoT, have ceased to be Government Nominee Directors on the Board of the Company, effective July 08, 2026. This cessation is consequent upon the withdrawal of their nomination by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, Government of India. Concurrently, Shri Shyamal Misra, Additional Secretary (Telecommunications), DoT, and Shri K Balaji, Joint Secretary (Administration), DoT, have been appointed as Government Nominee Directors, ex-officio, on the Board of MTNL. Their appointments are effective immediately and will continue until further orders. The company has informed the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) about these changes.
