The order, dated December 24, 2025, pertains to the Financial Year 2021-22 and includes a total demand of ₹1.81 crore. This amount comprises a tax demand of ₹0.94 crore, interest of ₹0.78 crore, and a penalty of ₹0.09 crore. The primary reason cited for the disallowance is a difference in GST credit appearing in GSTR-3B versus GSTR-2A. NIIT Limited, however, believes the demand is not maintainable and is currently evaluating all available options, including filing an appeal against the order. The company does not anticipate any material impact on its financials, operations, or other activities as a result of this demand order.
