Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited has received an order dated April 7, 2026, under the Employees Provident Funds & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. The order mandates the payment of balance E.P.F. and allied dues amounting to ₹36,54,699 (Rupees Thirty Six Lakhs Fifty-Four Thousand Six Hundred and Ninety-Nine Only) for international workers engaged by the company from May 2013 to March 2017. The company calculated these dues based on basic wages only, excluding personal pay, conveyance, and medical reimbursement. In addition to the principal amount, the company will also be liable for interest under Section 7Q and damages under Section 14B of the Act. The order requires payment within 60 days of its receipt. Despite the order, Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited stated that there is no material impact on the company's financials, operations, or other activities as a result of this order. The company intends to pay the outstanding dues along with applicable interest and damages before the due date.
