Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced the appointment of Shri B.K. Jain as a Part-Time (Official) Director on its Board, effective January 28, 2026. This appointment follows the approval by the Board of Directors in accordance with the Companies Act, 2013. Shri B.K. Jain, who holds the position of Executive Director/L&A at the Railway Board, is an Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) 1992 batch officer. He brings over three decades of experience in Indian Railways, with expertise in areas such as new line construction, doubling and gauge conversion projects, permanent way, bridges and buildings, railway land and estate management, tendering, contracts, arbitration, safety management, and disaster preparedness. He also has experience coordinating with State Governments, PSUs, and other Ministries. Shri Jain holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee and an M. Tech from IIT Delhi. He has undergone initial and advanced professional training from IRICEN, Pune, and international programs in Singapore and Malaysia. He is not related to any other director of RVNL and has confirmed that he has not been debarred from holding the office of director by any SEBI order or other authority. His appointment is for the tenure he holds the post of ED/L&A, Railway Board, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
