Refex Industries Limited has received a significant reprieve as the Joint Commissioner (Appeals), Central GST (Appeals), Raipur, has quashed a Goods and Services Tax (GST) demand of ₹35,29,002 for the Financial Year 2021-22. This demand, which comprised a tax liability of ₹31,90,002 and a penalty of ₹3,39,000, was initially raised by the Assistant Commissioner, CGST & Central Excise, Raipur. The company had contested this demand by filing an appeal before the Appellate Authority. Following a review of the submissions made by Refex Industries, the Appellate Authority has ruled in favor of the company, effectively nullifying the entire GST demand. The order from the Appellate Authority was received by the company on June 02, 2026.
