Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced a significant change in its leadership. Shri Sukhmal Chand Jain has ceased to be the Chairman & Managing Director of the company, effective from the afternoon of December 23, 2025. Concurrently, Shri Saleem Ahmad has assumed the charge as the new Chairman & Managing Director of RVNL, also effective from the afternoon of December 23, 2025. Shri Saleem Ahmad was previously the Director (Projects) at NBCC (India) Ltd. He brings over 35 years of extensive experience in the construction sector, with a background in executing large-scale infrastructure projects including bridges and tunnels. Prior to his role at NBCC, he served as Executive Director (Civil) at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. and held a position at Mumbai Port Trust. He holds a Civil Engineering degree from Jamia Millia Islamia University and is not related to any other director of RVNL. This appointment is in compliance with SEBI regulations, and he has confirmed he has not been debarred from holding a director's office by any SEBI order or other authority.
